Today I received my first delivery of roses I ordered back in January. My mailman was standing at my door with two very large boxes and with a somewhat exasperated expression handed them to me and said, “And it starts all over again.” Yes, I am the crazy rose lady! (In all seriousness, my mailman has the patience of a saint.) I’m excited to plant these new roses but since it’s so freezing outside right now, I’ll be keeping them indoors overnight. What’d I get? From Rogue I received: ‘Common Pink Moss’, ‘Barbara Oliva’, ‘Treasure Trail’, ‘Duchesse de Montebello’ a “mystery rose” (it will be exciting to try and figure out what kind it is) and the one I’m most excited about, ‘Ghislane de Féligonde’ which is shown above with her pretty hips. From Vintage I received: ‘Charles de Mills’, ‘Belle Isis’ and ‘Princess Adélaide’. Still waiting on deliveries from Heirloom and David Austin which I imagine will arrive sometime in May.

I am laughing at the idea that he said that!! More roses – cool!
It is pretty funny…but a part of me thinks, what if he wasn’t kidding? Oh gosh…poor guy!
