Happy Birthday Eva!

Some of you may remember when we adopted Eva a couple of years ago. (Since we don’t know her actual birthday, we use her adoption week to mark the occasion.) Eva (pronounced EE-vah) has come so far since we first brought her home. She no longer flinches when we reach down to pet her, walks beautifully on a leash, and is super loving and snuggly. You know that saying about rescue dogs? “Who rescued whom?”  That couldn’t be more true. If you’re looking to adopt a new animal friend, might I suggest Petfinder? It was how we met our pups, but of course you could also just visit your local shelter directly. So, even though she is on the naughty list today for chasing a pair of groundhogs through my garden and destroying everything in her path, she still gets to go to the store tonight to pick out a new toy. (For Eva she’s all about the toys. Yes, contrary to my Flickr photostream, she does more than just sleep.) Happy 3rd Birthday, Eva!
