Growing ‘Rhode Island Red’ or “Field of the Wood” Climbing Rose

Now, y’all know I love a good red climbing rose, but this one, ‘Rhode Island Red’ really takes the cake. Isn’t she so lovely? This red is a true red. No weird undertones and as the flowers mature, it keeps its saturated hue. Here are photos of ours last summer in our previous garden. Keep in mind that this rose, like all the roses I’m sharing photos from this last home, was only entering its third year. I’m sure over time it will really fill out this space and hopefully bring the new owners lots of happiness.
