Lots of shop news to catch up on – guilt free, I hope

I’ll let you in on a secret.

I feel guilty when I’m spending too much time in the garden and not enough in the studio and I feel guilty posting information about my shop, the very thing that affords me so much time in the garden, here on the blog. I struggle with that push and pull between two dominating creative forces in my life. Unfortunately, they are both interdependent on one another right now but like a bickering old married couple cannot seem to occupy the same space in my mind peaceably.

First off, there is now a feature on this blog which allows you to peruse my latest designs and, wait for it, add them to a cart and purchase! That’s right, you don’t have to be a member of Etsy to get one of my pieces which is good news for some–and great news for me since I sometimes close my Etsy shop when life gets overwhelming. To take you to the new shop, see the link in the nav bar above or click HERE.

Thank you to everyone who have already taken it for a test-drive!}

I’ve also set up a page to make it much easier to initiate a custom order which I think will be especially helpful to brides as we head into wedding season. Hooray!

My family and home commitments prevent me from taking on complex custom metalwork, but there are some brand new additions including those gold pieces you see above and, coming soon, the turquoise and crystal bangles below. I’m so pleased.

It’s always such a thrill when one gets shipped off to a new home–sometimes in far flung reaches of the world I may never see in my lifetime. When I sit down to create one of these rings I sometimes wonder, “OK, who is this for?” and let the piece evolve from there. Here are a few new ones I managed to finish up today…

  1. I am so glad you posted these here, they are so beautiful, and still – just like a garden! And I love that you can shop on this site now. So much easier (and I know how much work when on behind the scenes to get it set up!

    1. I have you to thank because you’re the one who inspired me to just do it already and stop being such a weenie about the technology learning curve. And I know you know how much work goes into that stuff! 🙂

      1. Well, you certainly are not being a weenie about it anymore! Beautiful stuff… and yes … SO many hours behind the scenes! I love to see what do!

  2. So happy I can shop here now! 🙂 Yay keep posting about your wonderful treasures.

I have a question I checked out your shop and I didn’t see some of the pieces in the multi-picture above. Does that mean they are already sold or just not listed yet? In particular I was curious about small picture #1,4,5, and 20 counting right to left.

    1. Thank you!

That mosaic photo is a collection of (sold) custom work I’ve done in the past to give an idea of what kinds of things I can make. You can see more about that HERE….

  3. P.s. I MUST have a “forget me not” ring for my wedding band! I initially told fiance my engagement ring was all I wanted as it is actually an antique wedding ring. That was then, this is now. 🙂 Once I know my ring size expect a order, but probably not a thank you from fiance. 🙂

    1. Hahahaha! I understand! 😉
Let me know if you need any help with the sizing and thanks again!

  4. Your jewelry is so lovely (and those garden labels… adore them!). I know how hard it is to balance different (at times seemingly opposing) passions, but I also think that is part of the beauty of life — there are so many wonders to enjoy. I love seeing what you’re up to, whether it be garden-related, jewelry, decorating, crafts. You have such a lovely aesthetic.

Congrats on getting your independent shop up and running!

    1. Ah! Anne I have so much gratitude for your comment. It means a lot to me coming from another artist (that’s you!) that you totally get where I’m coming from. I’ve been working on integrating these creative endeavours a bit more so it feels less like being on a see-saw. I suppose it just takes time. Thank you so much for your continued support and words of encouragement!
