Growing Sarah Van Fleet Hybrid Rugosa Rose
Hello and welcome to the new site! Hedgerow Rose was long overdue for a refresh and I hope you like what I’ve done–I’ve even updated the ABOUT page! To kick us off into the new lewk I’d love to share with you some photos of our ‘Sarah Van Fleet’ rose in our former garden. Sarah started out very shakily and had some mildew issues her first year. If I had to guess, I would say that was due to the poor soil and her roots drying out. Over time, and after adding copious amounts of compost, she really began to flourish. In fact, it was almost too much as I often had to prune her very, very prickly canes away from the paths. This is a lovely rose and well worth growing if you have the space. Enjoy!
The new site looks amazing! And I remember the vigor of Sarah Van Fleet all too well!
Thank you, love! ❤️
