Earrings Giveway ~ Freshwater Pearl and Robin’s Egg Blue Enameled Drops

Recently I’ve been tinkering with the kiln, trying out some of the colors, and seeing how it might be more effective–time management wise–to create similar pieces in batches. With every experiment I learn a little more, mostly along the lines of, “Yikes, don’t ever do that again!” I love how fine silver looks with transparent glazes, sort of like ice, but I also love the warmth of copper. One of my favorite colors is this robin’s egg blue, an opaque, shown here on these copper drops. (The backs are enameled with a speckly moss green confection.) I paired these with luminous freshwater pearls, because pearls just elevate even the most humble design, don’t you think? The settings are vintage brass, naturally nickel-free. Have I told you about my love of clip-on earrings? I do. I love them so much. Remember when we used actual phones, you know with curly cords and when you answered it, you could just pull your clip-on earring off? Kind of like a Mad Men moment. Yup! These are like that.

Wait, I’m babbling again. Anyways, do you want these? I saved them just for you.

How to Participate:

Leave me a “Hello!” in the comments so I know you stopped by. I never know with these things how many people actually read or care so I’ll give it a few days to see how it goes and then randomly select the winner. Maybe it will just be you and it will be a simple done deal! I’ll post anywhere, so even if you live outside of the U.S. don’t be afraid to participate. 🙂

  14. Hi Everyone! Thank you so much for participating and for all of your super wonderful comments. I enjoyed reading every single one of them (and truly was utterly surprised to receive so many–gosh!) and I really wish I had enough of these to give to each of you.

I used the random number generator thingy and with 25 individual entries (each individual person I counted as one entry even if more than one comment was left by a single person) the random number selected was number 9 which means Eileen, as the 9th entry you are the winner! I will be emailing you soon for your mailing address.

Thanks again to all of you; your support means so much! 🙂
