One of my favorite color and tulip combinations: the deep, purplish black of ‘Queen of the Night’ and the apple-blossom pink of ‘Angelique’. They’re both in bloom in our garden right now, yay! Do you have a favorite tulip?
Spring flowering bulb/grass-like leaves/height of about 10 inches/good naturalizer/average soil/full sun or part shade/zones 4-9/syn: wood hyacinth, spanish bluebells, Hyacinthoides (Scilla) hispanica/sweetly scented
There is just something wonderful about chartreuse and hot pink! (By the by, another flora combo which uses this color scheme effectively is Lady’s Mantle and pink roses. But watch out, Lady’s Mantle, or Alchemilla mollis, can reseed itself like crazy.)
