Create your own custom “estate-style” jewelry
I’ve worked with countless customers over the years creating custom estate-style jewelry and have found it to be one of the most rewarding aspects of my line of work. I like to think it was enjoyable for them, too! You can see samples of some of their designs I made for them in these photos above. Fun, aren’t they? If you’re looking to create something unique for yourself in the style of my “estate collection” type of jewelry this is where to begin.
How to get started:
Having a clear idea of what you’re looking for will streamline the process for both of us. Take a look at my various galleries of past work to see my style of jewelry making, get some ideas for how you want to create your piece(s) and to see what types of stones/findings I have used in the past.

Use the contact form below to get in touch with me to talk about your ideas. Keep in mind the following:
◆ Give me a date you need your jewelry by. If you’re a bride, this is especially important so we can get your jewelry to you far in advance.
◆ Tell me what type of metal finish you prefer: antiqued brass, shiny silverplate or shiny goldplate.
◆ Give me some ideas of colors/styles you prefer. Providing links to my past designs to help illustrate what you are looking for is SO helpful!
◆ PLEASE do not send me photos/links to another artist’s design and ask me to copy their work. Use my own designs as a jumping off point so we’re not infringing on anyone else’s artistic rights.
◆ PLEASE stay within the parameters of the designs I’ve created in the past. This is why it’s so important to peruse the galleries I linked to above.
Keep the following in mind:
◆ I’m a total magpie so my inventory is pretty ridiculous, but I may not have what you’re looking for in stock. Those vintage glass stones I worked with years ago were limited quantities and may now be gone and Swarovski often discontinues colors. I’ll let you know right away if I think this is going to be a problem.
◆ Creating custom orders can sometimes be very straightforward and sometimes they can involve a lot of time doing things like communicating with the customer, searching for necessary components, working up designs and so on. There may be an additional fee for this work but you will know up-front.
◆ Once a design is settled upon, I require a 50% deposit to get going.
◆ All custom work is NON-REFUNDABLE including the deposit. Once that deposit is received I get started ordering supplies and beginning your work. Please be absolutely sure of what you want, and ask questions if you’re unclear before we get started so that there are no disappointments.
◆ Do you live outside of the U.S.? There are many restrictions as to where I can send jewelry, legally, outside of the U.S. (I know, crazy, right?) Please let me know where you live to find out first if we can even get started so your time isn’t wasted.
