Celebration of Roses, January 14: Léda
Link to HMF: Léda
Acquired From: High Country Roses
Own Root? Yes
Would I Grow Again? Yes
Notes: Léda is also known as The Painted Damask because of the delicate pink coloring along the edge’s of her pearl-white petals. This rose has a quiet beauty from the softness of the coloring to the frilled sepals best observed up close. The fragrance is what you’d expect from an old Damask rose. I have found that Léda takes a few years to get established.
