More peony goodness–albeit a smidge past their prime

Darn I just missed the window of opportunity to catch all the tree peonies in the height of their bloom at the Arboretum. When I arrived last week most were wilty and dropping their petals but a handful still looked presentable. So here you go! If you’re curious as to the names of each, hover over the photo and it will pop up.

paeonia 'gauguin'

paeonia 'high noon'

paeonia rockii 'shu sheng peng mo'

paeonia suffruticosa 'fujizome-goromo'

  1. The peonies look spectacular! What a magnificent collection the arboretum has. This weekend is ‘open gardens’ in Rotterdam. Looking forward to see some spectacular gardens too.
