Just a quick hello!

Jesse and I had a lovely time at my birthday celebration at The Nittany Lion Inn, and I think I may have some photos to share with you. (I say “I think” because you know how it is, the pictures look great on the camera viewthingy but when you get them home onto your computer it’s a whole other story…) But in the meantime I wanted to pop in to say hello. I’m typing this while I take a much-needed tea break from painting the bathroom all morning. I’m FINALLY painting the bathroom. I can’t believe I’m typing these words and it’s truly happening. For the past 3 years we’ve been looking at grey (think primer) paint and old wallpaper. I look like the abominable snowman covered in white paint but I’m having my tea in my fancy, favorite Brambly Hedge teacup and cookies (thank you Mom!) on my new Pip Studio plates which were a little gift to me and I wanted to share with you. Aren’t they so pretty? I love the attention to details in the design, even the box they came in is a keeper. Friends, I’m wishing you a relaxing and joyful weekend as we move into one of the best times of the year. Yay, December! And yay, Friday!

  1. We are kindred cozy-mouse-house-loving spirits! I have the Brambley Hedge tea mugs, and the winter one is my favorite! I bought it years ago, on a dark day when my doctor told me I had to quit caffeine, so I bought an adorable mug to help me gag down herbal tea. I learned to like tea, but happily was able to drink coffee again soon after. Over the years I collected the other mugs in the collection.
My husband, who breaks everything (including my 2 favorite mugs I made myself), is not allowed to touch my Brambly Hedge cups.
On a side note: my son’s named Jesse. Love love love that name! 🙂

    1. My goodness, what a wonderful connection we have! I have never met anyone who actually even knew what I was talking about when I say how much I love the Brambly Hedge series until now so that makes me really happy to hear you enjoy them, too. And Jesse is the best name! 🙂

  2. I so admire you for attempting any sort of renovation project at this time of year! Love your plates – they are lovely. Enjoy your Christmas preparations!
