Things are greening up
A thunderstorm is passing over us right now–the windows are open so I can smell the rain–and it was another beautiful day in the garden. Whatever it was that was ailing me yesterday was a 24 hour thing, thankfully, so I was back outside again today cleaning up the little deck (or “Puppy Patio” as we like to call it) getting the containers ready for some flowering annuals for spring and summer. I know I need to get back in the studio but it’s so hard to stay indoors. There always seems to be something beckoning me back outside. Here are a few photos that didn’t make yesterday’s post: The ancient lilacs that I hope will bloom this year (last April’s snowstorm killed the buds) and below, those are the ‘February Gold’ daffodils I mentioned here. They’re very sweet but I don’t think I would get them again. I think I prefer bicolor dillies. What’s blooming in your garden?
I keep planting tons of different kinds of daffodils and love that they come up and bloom at different times, plus I too hope those lilacs make it all the way through this year. It was a sad year without lilacs last year!
It was! Lilacs are one of the best things about May!
Such gorgeous photos!
Love your blog, love your words.
That is so kind of you! Thank you! 🙂
